Gut Health || June 2, 2018

The latest buzz is the gut and how the bacteria in our gut influence us on many levels, from our genetics, our mental health and general well-being. In this workshop we delve into the world of gut loving foods, what we should eat to maintain good health and to what avoid if we are suffering from food sensitivities. This workshop will give you the tools to take charge of your own health.

Learn how to make sourdough starter and use it to create beautiful breads and pizza bases.
Take home the fresh bread you’ve made and your starter to continue practicing your new bread-making skills at home!

Bone Broth || August 4, 2018

Jewish penicillin or chicken soup was always prescribed by grandma when you were feeling a little unwell and it always seemed to work! Long slow cooked bones have many health benefits and in this workshop you will gain a good understanding on the how and why bone broth is so beneficial to building resilience and maintaining good health. We will make a broth and then use the broth in a wide variety of dishes including desert.

Raw Deserts || September 15, 2018

Go to any of Sydney’s ‘cool’ cafes and you will see raw deserts in their cabinets. Raw deserts provide sweetness and texture without the guilt. Unlike traditional style deserts whose main ingredients are refined sugar and nutrient devoid ingredients, raw deserts give you bang for your buck. In this workshop we will cover a wide range of techniques to create healthy versions of your favourite sweets.

Fermented Drinks || October 6, 2018

In this workshop we will dive into the world of fermented beverages. Starting with the more common drinks like kombucha and kefir and moving into funky drinks like ginger bug and beetroot kvass. Loaded with immune boosting probiotics, I believe, fermented beverages should be in every fridge. Everyone will take home scobies to continue their fermenting experience.

Sprouting and Activating || November 3, 2018

Did you know that when a seed germinates, it’s nutritional value skyrockets? In this workshop we look into the world of sprouts and why they are so beneficial to good health. Why activating your nuts, seeds and grains boost digestibility and the problems that can arise if you don’t. Cooking with sprouted foods brings a whole new dimension to your view of cooking and can transform once irritating foods into a more pleasant experience.

Healthy Christmas || December 1, 2018

In this workshop we blend my love of raw foods with traditional fare. Christmas lunch doesn’t need to send us to the couch afterwards for a sleep! We will look at a lighter, healthier approach to delicious, enticing food that will satisfy as well as nourish. Fruit mince tarts included.
